Belts are everywhere; always have been, always will be. Though the styles continue to evolve, it would seem you are never full dressed without a belt. Just ask Sex and the City designer
Patricia Field. Oprah's
Sex and the City Movie episode offered viewers a chance to hear from the famed designer who let us know we'll be seeing belts,
lots of belts, when the movie premiers.

“People have been waiting a while to see these ladies,” Michael Patrick King said in
a recent article. “And when they see these ladies, they’re going to see some color, and they’re going to see some new ideas. Pat is at the top of her game.” Field’s work included more than 80 costumes for Sarah Jessica Parker alone, according to producer John Melfi. “Then if you count 80 looks, you’re also talking about accessories, shoes and millions of dollars' worth of jewelry,” he says.

At top, a recent Armstrong ad featuring I Love Lucy, the original style diva, belted and beautiful. For more belts in fashion and art, check out This is Glamorous and Zesty Perspective.
