modern day designs

I made a frantic call to several area florists today! It seems I have left this very important vendor to the last minute. Not really, as I was reassured by more than one friendly florist that I am not too late (3.5 months and counting) and there is still hope for me yet. Naturally, the rest of my day was spent online searching for inspiration.
I firmly believe that when it comes to floral, it's best to leave it to the experts. Camille Panzarello of Modern Day Design whipped up each of these gorgeous creations which are well beyond the scope of us mere mortals. Her talent for combining unusual textures and complimentary colors is awe inspiring. I encourage you to check out her website and settle in for a long and lovely journey.
Meanwhile, if you have any advise or suggestions for picking a florist or working with a florist, don't hold back! I will continue to click away until I'm literally dragged from the keyboard and into the kitchen for more coffee... 3.5 months and counting...

Wow - those are beautiful images, Anne! Have fun with flowers, it was one of my favorite things to pick (ha ha - no pun intended...lol).

Though we ended up going with deep red black magic roses in my bouquet, and my girls had white roses with white calla lillies...since we had a black & white wedding. But colors are SO fun!

You're still sticking with blue bm dresses, right? Do you have a color preference for flowers? If you want, I'd totally be willing to help find you some cool images...let me know!

Happy planning!

P.S. Did you get the pics I emailed you from cocktails in NYC? If not, I can resend...

That last bouquet is beautiful. I wish I was using pink!

As far as working with a florist goes, the best thing I've ever done is find one who's style I trust and then you feel so much better about putting things in their hands. When I throw parties I give my florist a list of flowers I love and flowers I don't want to use and then the look and feel of the party and she always comes up with something great. I love white and green flowers, which is what I'm going to do with my palette of navy, aqua, apple green and white. I am a fan of texture rather than color in flowers. I like having a bunch of different flowers in the same color. Good Luck!

I love those flower arrangements, so amazingly beautiful. Did you see the tables that she designed for the wedding with the pink peonies bouquets? That was my favorite, totally up my alley! Good luck with the flowers, we just met with ours and I have to say that it was the most overwhelming experience. So much to choose froM!

did someone say flowers? one of my most favorite topics! my suggestion is to start with your bouquet, if there is a favorite flower that you have to have, that's a great to create your style and it will help you figure out what your want your bridemaids to carry. I agree with what Kate says, go with a florist who's style you like. You will feel better about leaving it to them to decide on the look. I don't know exactly what "style" you are going for but this one of my favorite brklyn florists, Saipua. Sarah is super creative and not to mention super sweet! check out this beautiful red bouquet
