all that glitters is venice

When Rosie Parson, a UK based wedding photographer, sent me this portfolio from her recent collaboration in Venice, I had to pinch myself. Venice. Venice. Oh Venice. I know you well and love you more. A city like this is best enjoyed in silence, at night and under the influence of total captivation. Fall is wonderful. Winter may be even better. And that dress you've been saving for a special occasion, pack that and nothing else. For a behind the scenes look into Rosie's photo shoot and collaboration, check out her blog."This dramatic backdrop of glorious colours and glittering waterways was chosen by photographer Rosie Parsons to capture the incomparable romance of the new collection of wedding gowns by Venetian designer Anna Molin. Her incredible dresses feature clean, flowing lines and contemporary styling while retaining a traditional feel – perfect for modern brides who want to put their own twist on the classic bridal look."

Available at L'Atelier Molin, the dresses were accessorised with jewellery and hair accessories by up-and-coming designer Hannah Salomon of Kutuu and vintage jewellery specialists Flo & Percy. Hannah's work can also be found in her Etsy shop. Hannah is a talented jeweller from North Wales uses silver to create personalised pins with monograms of the happy couple's initials that can be used in the hair, or even inserted into bouquets for an unusual personal touch.
The collections were perfectly placed in two of Venice’s most luxurious hotels – the Palazzo Stern and the Locanda Vivaldi. The Locanda Vivaldi is a boutique hotel only a short walk from St Mark’s Square, and features Murano glass chandeliers. The Palazzo Stern has only just reopened after a major refurbishment, and Rosie was the first photographer to be granted access to its prestigious interiors featuring Moorish design from its 15th century roots and filled with pieces of art collected by the owners, the Stern family.

love these pictures -- so crisp, and some have this great, dreamy, shallow depth of field.
